The Extinction event continues in this latest issue for Aspen Comics one and only ongoing title.

The reveals are coming so fast and the action is too intense to reveal all here.  Not only could it confuse non readers (and why aren’t you reading this?) but also this is an advanced review.  No need to spoil for people waiting to get into the comics shop.

I will say that every single one of you will be entertained thoroughly.  The Assassins begin to reveal some secrets and every tale ramps up the stakes for the entire group.  You’ll be supportive and then you’ll be angry.  Opinions might change by the end of the issue.  But you’re guaranteed to actually care about these fictional characters.  I wouldn’t think some of the Assistants did some stupid shit in their lives if I didn’t care about them.

The ladies fight, the true enemy’s motivations are revealed.  Best of all a HUGE battle is put into place during this issue.  Any of your comic reading friends who hate set up need to be kept away, after you insult them of course.  This whole issue is the delicious smell of the kitchen right before dinner.  Something amazing is brewing, but be patient in order to fully enjoy it.

Once again Jordan nails the women.  (That may have come out wrong.)  Its tough to show a person is down but not out, and Gunderson succeeds on every panel.  There is a scene with Rose where she is on the floor, she is the worst for it, and yet there is a look on her face that screams she is still totally in control.  Guys a word of warning if you ever see your woman with this look on her face get the hell out of there fast.

The only complaint about this issue is that it comes smack dab in the middle of an extensive story.  All the pieces are being put into place.  The ending is in sight.  Yet we’re not there yet and its frustrating.  I’ll forgive any of you waiting to read the entire series in one shot.
